Early Inspiration

The inspiration to build came early to a young Neil Shepherd who at just thirteen years old would spend hours designing houses that he dreamed of one day living in. Less than twenty years later, Fairfield Homes was born and Neil does indeed live in one of his own houses.

After eight years employed with a regional house builder in Cambridgeshire and in the midst of the financial crisis in 2010, Fairfield Homes bought its first land in Cambridge and constructed its first home. Since those early days, the company has gone on to build a number of award nominated and award winning developments.
